The Federal Trade Commission rule supposedly to protect franchise buyers from fraud franchisors who might attempt to mislead them into purchasing a franchise. Part of the franchise are addressing required disclosure paperwork rules. We use trucks and trailers units that have the capacity exceeding 600 gallons and low volume, high pressure spraying. Our team has washed cars in office buildings, military bases, Mass Transit District, a car rental companies, airports, shopping malls, QSRs, grocery stores, shipping and distribution yards, truck stops, car parks, golf courses, media buildings, etc., etc.. We wash things like shopping carts, wheelchairs, school buses, trucks, planes, boats, canopies, concrete, decks, playground equipment, etc, etc.

In one day our crews can be at 10-20 sites in a week per truck / crew might as many as 120 locations, for a particular city. And we have set up franchises in 23 states so far and that means in many cities. What concerns me here is this: In our UFOC (Uniform Franchise Offering Circular) there is a list of franchises, with names, addresses, phone numbers, and territories. Many of our franchisees own multiple trucks (units) and many parks such units at their homes. They are not monitored they are just parked. That would be bad. Not only from a stand point franchisor and damage to the brand, but also from a stand point of what the damage might do to America. I'm not the only one with this problem.

I think that each franchise system to do a Risk Assessment of such things, put it in writing and protect ourselves and our franchises. The franchising community together can do our part.
